I think this photo was shot sometime in the very early 1960's.

Technically... There is not a whole lot to this photo - looks to be just an amateur photo with an on-camera flash. And that is just what makes this photo so good. I am not really one for simple on-camera flash photography, but the amateur look & feel of this photo, mixed in with the subject matter, the background, the box-like feel of the set, the clothes, and the emotion of the model, just plain and simple, work.
