I think this photo was probably done sometime in the late 1950's or early 1960's. This critique is almost exactly the same as I wrote about the last Retro Photo. And again, it doesn't do a whole lot for me. Like so many porn / erotic / glamour / amateur / artistic shots from this era (and almost every other era) there is absolutely no thought, nor art put into this pic what-so-ever. Again, it is just one tone of plain, old & boring grey. No contrast, no fancy lighting, no shadows, no nothing. The good points: The bedspread is kinda kewl, I like the shine on it - could have been put to much better use in the photo though. I also like the pattern on the wall - but again, could have been used much better. The Model: What can I say about her? Well, she's either a blonde or a redhead - kinda hard to tell which. She looks older than she probably is - probably had a hard life (like so many models that pose nude). She has thin legs, but it looks as if her toes are dirty and I think that there are some bruises on her feet & legs as well. She deffo has a loose skin and a gut and she is trying very hard to suck it in. Her boobs? A few years before this pic was taken, they were probably nice, but now they're just kinda like floppy tube socks. Her face? Again, I bet that she used to be very pretty, now she just looks hard, and even though she has probably done it a lot, she looks very uncomfortable to be posing nude. But her eyes say the most about her - no spark, just lifeless & sad. The photo had
potential, but as it is, it does not work for me... And the model... physically,
she doesn't do a lot for me and even though I feel sorry for her, I'd still
