And So It Goes - Keeping Up With the Joneses

      I was flipping through channels, desperate for a sign of intelligence, when I stumbled on Major League Soccer. The game was between the L.A. Galaxy and the New England Revolution. The Galaxy is a superior team on every front. I know so because players from anywhere besides my home town are good-for-nothin’ bums.

     The match was nearing its end. Los Angeles was ahead 4-0. If you are unfamiliar, a 4-0 lead in soccer is like a 62-run lead in baseball. Or 10-of-a-kind in poker. Then I saw my old friend, Cobi Jones. Cobi. Local boy makes good on global circuit, film at eleven. I had already seen Cobi’s picture at Ralphs, in the bookstore, even on a bobble doll.

     I used to run with Cobi. We played soccer for five seasons when were kids, both of us halfbacks. Cobi was on the team because he was a robust athlete; I was on the team because my dad was the coach. Our team toured Europe, competing in Sweden’s Göthia Cup. When you’re 14 years old, it’s pretty cool to play in any cup with an ö in it. That’s when the Jones kid started to see more playing time and I grew close to the bench. When you’re in the finals, even your dad will bench you. So it goes.

     At that time, Cobi was good but he wasn’t a star. He was just one of the boys screwing around at center field, the guy who laughed so hard when he got a breakaway that he could hardly finish it. He was the one whose hair we decorated with Gummy Bears when he fell asleep at night.

     Looking back, I see what set Cobi apart: it was his will to win. No matter how fast his rival, Cobi would win the footrace by a step. Nobody knew how fast Cobi was; he was just one step faster than the other guy. Now he is a critically acclaimed soccer stud, and my claim to fame is that I knew him.

     Oh, yes. The game. With one minute left, the Revolution were thinking about the showers when Cobi tapped in his third goal—another hat trick. His teammates piled over him while Cobi’s dreadlocks danced in the wind. The announcer tried to convey how great Cobi was and how lucky we were to watch him.

     Mr. and Mrs. Jones—and you know who you are—could you please deliver a message to your son on behalf of the skinny blonde kid who peed in your pool? Tell him enough already. He’s making me look bad. He’s an action figure, for crying out loud. He has played in the World Cup, won the MLS championship, modeled for ESPN…it’s growing hard for me to be happy for him.

     Better yet, let Cobi know that I challenge him to a footrace. Wait a minute, what am I thinking? I challenge him to gin rummy…No, I challenge Cobi to a game of Simpsons trivia! Then we’ll see who’s on top of the world. We’ll see who laughs last. I’ll make him look foolish. FOOLISH, I say…Ha ha ha ha ha.

Blogger Babes - Leather & Rocket - A Horrific Tale

Leather and Rocket are Real Twins. They each have long and dark curly hair, dark eyes, snarling lips that would make Billy Idol proud, shaved pussies with little landing strips of dark hair, hairy butts (dark peach fuzz) and small breasts (one has bigger tits than the other - but that is just because she is a little heavier). I saw them at a birthday party (mine) and thought they would be so kewl to photograph together. They were totally dressed like sluts - but not in a bad way. They looked pretty hot, they had attitude and they stood out. Every guy (and a few of the girls) at the party deffo gave them a glance or two, or three. A friend of mine whispered in my ear that he saw them working together in an adult video. My mind went into overdrive. And, since it was my party, I thought it'd be polite of me to introduce myself. I did. They seemed sweet and nice. They were flirty and they were on the prowl for some work. A few days later... we were shooting.

I would like to say that the shoot went well, but I can't! Actually we got a lot done; we did four set-ups at two different locations, but it was not a fun shoot. Remember in the last paragraph I said that the twins had attitude. Well they did! And they brought it to the shoot with them, but it was not good attitude. What happened to the sweet and flirty girls I met at my birthday party? I dunno, but these two hairy creatures swiped their bodies and showed up at the shoot in place of them. Call time at the first location was 9am. The twins showed up at 10 and they were both in a bad mood because they didn't like getting up early. 10am was too early for them. They were getting paid, but they didn't want to be there and they certainly didn't want to put any effort into getting some good shots. It took awhile before I could get them to smile and even longer before I could get them to pose together and look comfortable doing so. But (patting my own back) I'm very good working with people and before too long I had them laughing and having a good time. And I deffo took advantage of those fleeting moments. I snapped away like a madman. But as I was shooting, I could see the evil twins starting to reappear and before too long their heads were spinning around and lightning bolts were shooting out of their eyes. Oh how I wanted this day to be over.

We finished at the first location and headed to the next. A friend of mine has a dungeon (don't ask) in his house and under the circumstances it turned out to be very appropriate for the beasts. Oh how I wanted to lock them inside and throw away the key. But I'm a nice guy and I could not do that (to my friend). It was winter, the dungeon was cold and the witches complained and complained. Usually I don't do this type of thing, but to get even for all their bitching and moaning, I deffo took my time with every shot. By the time we left the dungeon, the shivering critters were too cold to whine about it. It was a mean and vengeful way to shut them up, but it worked - at least for a while.

The next setup was in front of a fireplace and with the heat, the wicked demons thawed out and once again they complained with their forked tongues. Oh what vile creatures these minions be. But again, I'm a professional and could not let these hags get the better of me. I mean... good always prevails over evil. Right? So, once again I turned on the charm and drove the little trolls back from whence they came. Smiles returned all around and we finished the day with enough pictures to give me nightmares for years to come.

Of course, after the shoot, I never talked to the two things again. Last I heard, one of them was pregnant and trying to populate the world with the spawn of Satan.
